Chin Contouring in Murrieta
The area under the chin is one of the most common things patients bring up with us, and one of the least understood. Before we talk about what to do, we figure out what it actually is.
Why that first step matters
Most people arrive having already decided the problem is fat. Sometimes it is. Often it is not, or not entirely, and that changes the answer completely.
There are four things that commonly create fullness under the chin, and they do not respond to the same treatments.
Fat
Largely genetic. Stays put regardless of weight, and has not shifted with anything you have tried.
Skin laxity
Reads as fullness in photos, but there is little underneath. Reducing volume here can soften the contour rather than sharpen it.
The platysma
A sheet of muscle across the front of the neck. When it separates into bands, it changes the whole shape of the area.
Jaw structure
If the chin sits back, the area reads as full even with very little fat. Soft tissue treatment does not change bone.
Most patients are some combination of these, in proportions that differ from the next person. That is why a treatment that worked beautifully for a friend may do very little for you, and why we do not quote a plan over the phone.
What we offer
We provide nonsurgical approaches to chin and jawline contouring. Which one fits depends on what we find at your consultation, and in some cases the answer is a combination addressing more than one cause.
What every plan has in common:
It starts with an assessment, not a menu
Your consultation includes an Aura Skin Analysis and a look at your profile from several angles, so the recommendation is based on your anatomy rather than on what you asked for by name.
It is usually a series
Changes in this area are gradual. Most plans involve more than one session spaced several weeks apart, and we will give you a realistic number up front rather than an optimistic one.
You will know what to expect
Recovery, what is normal afterward, how long results take to show, and what maintenance looks like. All of it discussed before anything is scheduled, not after.
Who is a good candidate?
Generally, someone bothered by fullness or a soft jawline, in reasonable health, with realistic expectations about what a nonsurgical approach can do.
Candidacy is determined during your consultation after a review of your skin, your anatomy, and your medical history. If what is bothering you is not something we can meaningfully improve, we will tell you that. An honest no is more useful than an optimistic yes, and it costs you less.
Common questions
Is this a weight loss treatment?
No. Submental fullness correlates loosely with weight at best. Plenty of patients carry it at every size, and plenty lose significant weight and find the area essentially unchanged because what they were seeing was laxity or structure.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on what we are treating and how much of it there is. Most plans are a series. You will get a specific number at your consultation.
What is the downtime?
It varies by approach. Some involve swelling in the treated area for several days, which is expected and part of the process. We will walk you through exactly what to plan for before you book anything.
Will it be obvious that I had something done?
That is the goal with everything we do here. Gradual change over a series tends to read as looking rested rather than as having had a procedure.
Do I have to commit to treatment at my consultation?
No. A fair number of consultations end with a clear understanding and nothing booked, and that is a reasonable outcome. Thirty minutes, no obligation.
Paying for it
Because this is usually a series rather than a single visit, most patients pay monthly instead of up front. We work with PatientFi and Cherry, and you can see what you qualify for before you ever come in.
If what you are planning is ongoing rather than a one time series, our memberships often cost less than financing a package. Worth comparing.

Consultations are with Eliana Ward, NP, owner and master injector at Naturalness Med Spa. Her approach is treatment planning rather than treatment selling: assess what is actually happening, explain it in plain language, and build something that fits your anatomy, your goals, and your calendar.
